Need Housing for Fall Break?

University Housing Fall Break Housing Options

Do you need to stay on campus over fall break? We have some fall break housing options available for you. Remember to make your reservation in advance, as space is limited.  The deadline to return a fall break housing contract to stay in either ISR or PAR is Friday, November 9, 2012 at 12 noon.

University Housing’s undergraduate residence halls close on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 12 noon and reopen on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at 12 noon. Fall break accommodations are available Sunday, November 18, 2012 through Sunday, November 25, 2012.

Only current residents of Pennsylvania Avenue Residence Halls (PAR) and Illinois Street Residence Halls (ISR) will be permitted to remain in their own room during the break; however, PAR and ISR residents still must submit a break contract.

Complete a Fall Break Housing Contract in MyHousing

The rate is $26.00 per night (except for residents of Global Crossroads LLC, where break housing is included with an academic year contract). The non-refundable charge will be billed to your student account unless the reservation is canceled by Thursday, November 15, 2012.

All residents requesting break housing will be housed in a limited number of converted lounge spaces in ISR or PAR (except current residents of PAR and ISR). Each lounge will have a bed for each break resident (5 to 6 students will be assigned to each lounge). ISR lounges include Internet access. Wireless Internet access is available in the lobby of PAR. Students who request one or two night’s stay will be assigned to a lounge in PAR.

Reservations Required

The deadline to return a fall break housing contract to stay in either ISR or PAR is Friday, November 9, 2012 at 12 noon. If you are interested in making reservations for break housing, complete the fall break housing contract form in MyHousing. There are a limited number of spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. After November 9, break housing will be provided if any spaces remain or become available due to cancellations.

After November 15, please contact the ISR front desk at (217) 333-4640 for space availability. Space is not guaranteed.

Any student without a break housing contract who accesses a building during a break period will be assessed the full break housing charge amount. In addition, any student who accesses a hall without a Break Housing contract will also be referred to either the Residential Life judicial process or to the University of Illinois Police for trespassing.
