Free Tutoring through the Office of Minority Student Affairs

OMSA offers four academic services including tutoring, exam review sessions, supplemental instruction and advanced study skills instruction. Services are available to ALL University of Illinois students. Click here for more information on these services.

Other Tutoring Services On Campus

Phi Eta Sigma
Tutoring is provided in a group setting and in a variety of subjects, primarily for introductory level courses.

College of Engineering Tutoring
The Center for Academic Resources in Engineering (CARE) provides free tutoring in many engineering-related subjects and prerequisites to engineering courses, such as math, chemistry, physics, computer science and TAM.

Chemistry Learning Center
Provides free tutoring services to all undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in chemistry courses.

Economics Tutoring
Send an email to uiuc.econ.tutor@gmail.com to request a tutor from the Economics Club. Also, the Economics Department keeps a list of graduate students who are interested in tutoring students in Room 225 of DKH (David Kinley Hall). These students tutor for a fee.

Math Tutoring
The Mathematics Department offers both free tutoring services as well as private tutoring (for a fee). Hours vary, Monday through Friday.

MCB Learning Center
Provides a space for students to meet with any available MCB 101, 150/151, 250/251, 252/253 and 354 teaching assistant during their office hours.

LIGASE Tutoring
Offers the opportunity to be a tutor or be tutored for classes in the MCB core curriculum. Students are matched on a one-on-one basis to ensure that a good relationship is established between tutor and the student being tutored. In this way, students receive continued support from the same person.

MCB Peer Advising
Upper class students helping underclass students choose courses. Contact: advising@mcb.illinois.edu

Psychology Tutoring
Psi Chi, an honorary society in psychology, provides free tutoring services for students enrolled in psychology courses.
